I think the thing that typifies the school's attitude to their teachers is the way they try to help make staff welcome. I knew it was going to be a special place to work when we applied for a job and Wojtek and Ela went to the trouble of going to various flats, taking pictures of them and emailing them to us, so we could choose a place prior to our arrival. Not many places would do that!
The other thing that Gama-Bell bought into my life was ´fame´. Albeit my 15 minutes. As a result of my two flirtations with Polish TV, as Henry VIII and Earl Grey as well as 2 interviews for TVN, I was stopped in the streets, recognised in crowded places and even head hunted for the next James Bond. Unfortunately David Craig got the role because I was under contract to MGM (Metro Graniczewski Mayer). There were certainly very few dull moments at Gama! :)

I can still recall THE DAY :) I had woken up late and almost missed the entrance exam!!! Fortunately, I managed to get to the venue and I passed :) On that day my adventure with Gama started... It was a great experience to be there, meet all the wonderful people, both teachers and peer students. The college classes, the teachers, the college staff and the fun we had - they all fill in the part of me which "collects" the best memories of my life. There were some strenuous situations at times, luckily, not many of them. One of the teachers whom we, my year group, will always remember is Michael Richardson :) and his famous sayings, like: ‘What do you reckon, dziewćiny (sic!)?' or ‘Remember, the teacher is always right!' (this one said when he could not find an answer for a question). His saying are now our canon :)
We were encountered with many strange but, at the same time, fascinating people who gave us thorough ideas on how to become a perfect teacher and a great person, plus showed us what we should not try to be. They loved what they were doing and so they passed this fascination on, to us :) The three college years moved on quickly and we ourselves became teachers. I stayed at Gama for the next ten years - so I could say I spent quite an amount of my life there :)
The modern Wenecja venue, the charming Krzyża venue, the elegant Rynek venue, the present Michałowskiego venue - I was there all this time, almost from the very beginning :) The school provided me with a really vast teaching experience: younger and older children, teenagers, adults, college students with their teaching practice classes and various levels I was given to teach, professional courses I could attend. Yes, the school gave me a lot and I will always think about it warm :) What a loss it would be if I had really missed the exam all these years back ;)
